Toby Aguillard has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, criminal justice, and the law.

A graduate of St. Joseph Seminary College. His education included everything from classrooms at the Abbey, to soup kitchens in New Orleans to the missions of Saltillo, Mexico.

A graduate of Southern University Law Center. While attending law school, Toby worked as a deputy sheriff, where he began his career in public service.

While working his way up the ranks, Toby held various positions for several law enforcement agencies. In 2000, he began working as an Assistant Attorney General and criminal prosecutor. During this time he proudly helped write the first Internet Predator Law for the state of Louisiana. He initiated and commanded the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Toby has spent much of his career investigating and prosecuting child predators and human traffickers.

Born and raised in a small, closely knit town in southwest Louisiana, Toby grew up with traditional values honoring family, faith and service. It is his strong commitment to public service that has led Toby to run for Lafayette City Court Judge.
Toby and Rachel have been married for twenty years and have two children, Allie and John Paul. They are proud to call Lafayette home.
